Spark APN and IP settings

When you set up your business's mobile devices on the Spark network, you'll need to set up APN settings. Your IT administrator may need to know the IP ranges used by the Spark network. Find out how to set your mobile devices up now.

All Spark APN Settings

internet (*)Public internet with NAT: Default APN.This is the default APN for new mobile data connections and MMS access.
direct.telecom.co.nzPublic unprotected internet.This isn't recommended for general use.
m2m (*)Public internet with NAT.This is a variation of the internet APN.
m2mdirectPublic unprotected internet.This isn’t recommended for general use.

(*) The network allocates the device a Private IP address in the 100.64.0.0/10 range which is then remapped (NAT) to a Public IP address from the corresponding IP range listed below.

 

Spark MMS settings

To set up your mobile devices to send and receive MMS messages using the Spark network. Use the following settings:

  • Username: Blank
  • Password: Blank
  • APN: internet
  • MMSC: http://mms.spark.co.nz
  • MMS proxy: Blank
  • MMS max message size: 614400

 

Spark Public IP ranges

To get the IP ranges you can use, find the APN setting you used, and use an IP address from the corresponding list.
