Covid-19 has had many businesses rushing to fix IT challenges. Age Concern Otago is a not-for-profit organisation that provides essential services to vulnerable citizens, a group at higher risk in the pandemic.

In Dunedin, Oamaru and Alexandra, Age Concern assists the elderly in many ways. This requires communication and coordination, which proved difficult during the lockdown. Despite the pandemic and a modest IT budget, Age Concern Otago brought teams closer together and advanced its digital transformation.
