Endless data

• Endless data is for personal New Zealand use on your phone only
• Excludes roaming data
• Speeds reduced after max speed data allowance exceeded per billing cycle. You'll still be able to use your data like you did before, but you'll experience some degradation (such as lower video resolution) when watching video, streaming or loading images.
• Machine-to-machine services or any other similar activity that Spark considers to be non-standard personal usage is prohibited ("Prohibited Usage"). Tethering or hotspot is available if you buy a Hotspot extra or if Hotspot data is included in your plan. 

Unlimited calls

• You get unlimited calls to standard New Zealand and Australian numbers (you need to be calling another person)
• Excludes premium and special numbers
• Excludes roaming
• If we consider that you're engaging in Prohibited Usage we may contact you and ask you to stop such usage. If such Prohibited Usage continues despite notification from us, we may remove your subscription immediately with notice.

Unlimited texts

• You get unlimited texts to standard New Zealand and Australian numbers
• You need to be texting another person
• Excludes premium and special numbers and roaming
• Unlimited texts cannot be used for any activity that Spark considers non-standard personal use ("Prohibited Usage"), including but not limited to:
  • re-supply
  • call centre use
  • telemarketing
  • bulk messaging
  • application-to-person communication
  • machine to machine communication (including by using your SIM card in any other device)
  • Cellular Trunking Units (CTUs)
• If we consider that you're engaging in Prohibited Usage, we may contact you and ask you to stop such usage. If such Prohibited Usage continues despite notification from us, we may remove your subscription immediately with notice.

Hotspot:

• Hotspot is available as an extra with Spark Endless Mobile plans, for $10/month. 
• If you use Hotspot as an extra or as part of your plan, it counts towards your total data usage on your Endless Mobile plan. After max speed data allocation is used, speeds will reduce to a maximum 1.2Mbps; this will impact your experience. 
• Only one Hotspot extra can be added per line per month. 

What does Endless data mean?

Endless New Zealand data means you can browse the web, stream content, upload, download and play games. While there are no caps on how much data you use, after allocated data at max speed, Spark will reduce your speed to a max of 1.2Mbps for the remainder of the billing cycle; this will impact your experience. No tethering and mobile hotspot unless you buy a Hotspot extra or if Hotspot data is included in your plan. Endless data is for use on mobile devices only.

Who's eligible for these plans?

Spark consumer and business customers can buy these plans.

Why does Spark exclude tethering and hotspots?

To protect the data experience for all customers on our network, selected plans don't include mobile hotspot/tethering, unless you buy a Hotspot extra.

How will Spark know if I’m tethering or hotspotting?

Spark reserves the right to monitor data usage and customer volumes, to ensure customers are complying with our terms of use. Service may be slowed, suspended, terminated or restricted for misuse or interference with our network.

Are the Endless Mobile Plan, Endless Group Plan and Endless Companion Plans compatible with tablets?

No, these plans are restricted for mobile use only, and can't be used on any other device, including SIM-enabled tablets, t-sticks, modems and hotspots (unless you buy a Hotspot extra or if Hotspot data is included in your plan).

Can I share my Endless Mobile Plan or Endless Group Plan data, text and minutes?

• The Endless Group Plan lets you share your data, minutes and texts with up to three other people on your account (we call these your "companions")
• You can share with these companions once you've bought, and been connected to, the Endless Group Plan
• You need to sign in to the Spark app or MySpark to add these companions. If you sign up to the Endless Group Plan online we’ll send you emails to help you through this process.
• Each of the companion plans have their own line number and endless data and unlimited text and minutes allocations. The regular endless data conditions apply to these companions. For example, after allocated data at max speeds is used, speeds are reduced to a max of 1.2Mbps; no tethering or hotspots, unless you buy a Hotspot extra or if Hotspot data is included in your plan; standard New Zealand and Australia numbers.
• The Endless Mobile Plan is a stand-alone plan. Spark sharer plans can't be added to this plan therefore, no plan allocations can be shared with any other user.

What if I'm on an older 24-month term contract and I want to transfer to these plans?

Pay Monthly customers who have a minimum term and want to move to any open-term plan (including the Endless Mobile Plan or Endless Group Plan) will have to pay disconnection fees before connecting to an open-term plan.

I'm on a Wireless Broadband plan. Can I get Endless mobile data?

No. The Endless mobile data plans aren't designed to replace home broadband. Tethering and hotspot use is prohibited (unless you buy a Hotspot extra or if Hotspot data is included in your plan). Data speeds will be monitored and may vary.

Wireless Broadband provides a more suitable level of service to support the way customers use the internet at home.

What's a hotspot extra?

Available as an extra with Spark Endless Mobile plans for $8.70/month. If you use Hotspot as an extra, it counts towards your total data usage on your Endless Mobile plan. After max speed data allocation is used, speeds will reduce to a maximum of 1.2Mbps; this will impact your experience. Only one Hotspot extra can be added per line per month

  • Open Term: These plans let you call the shots. Bring your phone and keep your options open – we won’t lock you in long term.
  • 24-Month Term: These plans come with an upfront subsidy on the cost of a new phone. So if you’re keen on our best new phones, this is the right option for you. Note: The phone subsidy is available until further notice. Spark can withdraw this at any time.
• Minute and text allowances included in Pay Monthly are for person-to-person use only
• Text allocations can be used for person-to-person text messages to any New Zealand network
• All rates are GST inclusive

Rollover

• Rollover terms and conditions apply
• Pay Monthly Rollover only applies to minutes and data included in Mobile Pay Monthly Rollover Plans
• The following do not roll over:
  • Endless and Unlimited allowances
  • Mobile extras
  • Unlimited WiFi
  • Endless Mobile Pay Monthly Plan
  • Any plans pre-dating 11 September 2017
• You may use your Rollover allowance while you remain on an eligible Rollover Plan. Should you move to an ineligible Plan your Rollover allowance will be frozen. An expiry period of 365 days applies to rollover allowances, including when frozen. If you switch to a Rollover Plan within the expiry period, you can continue using your Rollover allowance up until expiry and also accrue new Rollover.
• The maximum amount of Rollover you can accumulate is 3.5GB of data and 500 NZ minutes. Once you’ve reached the Rollover maximum, any new quantity will replace the corresponding quantity of oldest data or minutes. Rollover allowance is used in order of expiry, and quantities expiring soonest will always be used first.
• The data allowances available to you will be used in the following order:
  1. Any data included in your plan or extra, in order of expiry
  2. Any rollover data available
• If you share your data with Spark customers on Sharer plans, your accumulated Rollover Data will be shared too

Spotify Premium Pay Monthly Mobile

Spotify Premium on us is available to customers on Mobile Pay Monthly Endless $69.56 and $86.95 excluding GST plans.

Spotify Premium is available to customers on Mobile Pay Monthly Endless $52.17, Rollover 3GB $34.77, Business Teams Endless $45.00 and $65.00 excluding GST plans for $6.51 excluding GST per month.
