You can update your notifications settings for things like data usage, subscriptions and bill reminders in the Spark app or MySpark. You can choose if you would like to receive these notifications by email, SMS or both. Or you can choose to opt out (turn off) certain notifications.
Service alerts
Service alerts are important messages we send about products or services you have with Spark. You can’t opt out from receiving these, but you can manage where we send them to.
Updating your notification settings in the Spark app
- In the app, tap the menu button and choose MySpark from the menu
- Sign in or register to access your account
- On the Profile screen, scroll down and select Notification settings
- Choose which notification setting you want to update, for example, Usage. You'll see the options for the different usage notification settings you can change.
- Tap Manage beside the number or product you want to change the notification settings for.
- Once you've chosen Manage, you can:
- Turn notifications on or off
- Choose if you receive the notifications by email, SMS or both.
- Choose the mobile number/s that will receive the notifications. You can choose from mobile numbers that are already linked to your account or add a new Spark mobile number.
- Change the email address that receives the notifications. By default, it will be set to the email address linked to your MySpark account. You can add a new email address that you'd like the notifications to be sent to.
When adding a new email address or Spark mobile number to receive notifications, we'll send a verification code to that mobile number or email to verify it has been entered correctly and that you have access to that email or mobile. You'll need to enter this code in the Spark app before you can select that email or mobile to receive notifications.
Updating your notification settings in MySpark
- Sign in to MySpark
- Select Settings under General
- Select Manage in the Notifications section
- Choose which notification setting you want to update, for example, Usage or Account & billing. You'll see the options for the different notification settings you can change.
- Select Manage beside the number or product you want to change the notification settings for.
- Once you've chosen Manage, you can:
- Turn notifications on or off
- Choose if you receive the notifications by email, SMS or both.
- Choose the mobile number/s that will receive the notifications. You can choose from mobile numbers that are already linked to your account or add a new Spark mobile number.

Offers and marketing messages
You can choose whether you’d like to be kept up to date with the latest offers and promotions from Spark. When signing up with Spark, tick the opt in box if you want to receive exclusive offers and other marketing and promotions from us and our partners.
You can opt out of offers and marketing messages one of these ways:
- Update your notification settings in the Spark app or MySpark using the instructions above.
- Choose Unsubscribe on marketing emails
- Reply STOP in response to a marketing text message
