If you've got a modem you didn't buy from Spark and you want to use the Spark network to connect to the internet, find out what settings to use.
First, check your modem's user guide to make sure the settings will work with Spark's broadband.
First, check your modem's user guide to make sure your modem is compatible with fibre. If you have chosen a fibre plan with internet speeds of more than 100 Mbps, check that your modem is capable of that speed.
Use your modem's user guide to find where to change your modem's settings. Adjust the settings to match the following:
Note: You may not need to fill out all these fields. You don't need a specific PPP username and password, but you won't be able to connect if either field is blank.
Any VDSL modems need to align with Telepermit PTC274 certification. You'll need your modem's user guide, and then adjust the modem's settings to match the following:

Once your modem is set up, you can connect your computer, mobile or tablet to WiFi.
To get your static IP or port 25 settings use the default username (user@spark.co.nz) and any password. Any password will be accepted, as long as the field isn't blank.
