eSIM Transfer

Note: eSIM self-service is only available on accounts with a login. If your linked account doesn't have it's own login, you can create a login for a linked account

How do I transfer/move my eSIM to another phone?  

Moving your eSIM to a new phone is easy and can be done via your Skinny portal.

Simply navigate to the account you want to manage and then select ‘Phone, SIM & Number’ from the navigation bar on the left-hand side.

Next, select ‘Manage SIM card’.

Select ‘Transfer my eSIM to a new device’ and follow the onscreen instructions. 

You will be required to verify your ID. For this you will need either:

  • - A valid NZ driving license or a Passport.
  • - A mobile phone to complete ID verification sent via text message. The phone must have a working camera.

 

How do I change from a Trio SIM to an eSIM?  

Changing your Trio SIM to an eSIM is easy and can be done via your Skinny portal.

Simply navigate to the account you want to manage and then select ‘Phone, SIM & Number’ from the navigation bar on the left-hand side.

Next, select ‘Manage SIM card’. Select ‘Convert my SIM card to an eSIM’ and follow the onscreen instructions. 

You will be required to verify your ID. For this you will need either:

  • - A valid NZ driving license or a Passport.
  • - A mobile phone to complete ID verification sent via text message. The phone must have a working camera.
